| Siesta Key is an eight mile long barrier island, which lies just off shore Sarasota, Florida. It is approximately 55 miles south of Tampa, and 228 miles northwest of Miami.
Two bridges connect Siesta Key to the mainland. Siesta Drive Bridge is the north bridge, and it provides easy access to the city, and to the Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport.
The airport is located via U.S. Highway 41. The south bridge, on Stickney Point Road connects you to southern Sarasota and gives you a direct route to Interstate 75. If you are interested in water sports, Siesta Key offers fishing, boating, dolphin tour, sunset cruises and parasailing.
If you enjoy golf, there are many fine golf courses on the mainland. You might enjoy bicycling and rollerblading through our village or strolling on the beach. Just make sure you don't miss the fantastic sunsets! | |
